Deal of the Day: 40% off at Ann Taylor, Today Only

At full price, Ann Taylor is a bit too expensive for my budget. But I always check the sale racks when I'm at the store for great deals (a few months ago, I found a gorgeous $150 aubergine sweater dress for just $19.99), and I'm finding that I can score online, too, with a little patience.

Today, for example, Ann Taylor is offering 40% off everything with the code SNOWFLAKE and free 3rd day shipping on orders of $150 or more. My pick is the shirt pictured above, which I bought when Ann Taylor offered the 40% off deal several weeks ago. With the 40% off deal, it's $46.50, still a little pricey but it looks absolutely gorgeous on. The detail on this shirt is spectacular. I can't wear mine until Christmas, but I've already secretly tried it on twice, if that tells you anything! Thank God Hubs is a wrapping procrastinator!

That is a GORGEOUS sweater! I'm a sucker for a black shirt with interesting details. Thanks for the tip!

It comes in different colors, too! I can't even tell you how nice it looks in person. Definitely worth the money.

1. I LOVE your new blog but would really appreciate an RSS feed - it's so easy to read blogs in a Reader!

2. If you don't already read Big Mama (http://thebigmamablog.com/), she is hilarious and great. And she has a Fashion Friday post every week with great links.

3. Anyone else who HATES the way sleeping pants shrink when you wash them should try the ones from Eddie Bauer. I got some last year and they look brand new and have not shrunk at all. They also have Tall, which is fabulous for those of us who hate their sleeping pants too short!

Love it. Love it. Love it. This is a great idea. You should definitely make some cash for this! It's like free advertising for these companies!

As a long-time Suburban Turmoil reader I just wanted to say I think it's great you started up this new blog! Good luck and I look forward to reading. :) Fashion blogs take up a larrrrge portion of my Google Reader.

Thanks, guys. :) Jan, I burned a feed for the blog, per your request. Thanks for the reminder.

And I thought this morning of posting a link to Big Mama's scarf video from last year. I still use her advice from that video, and she's so entertaining!
